CSD canteen employees are on indefinite strike demanding that Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) should be allowed to audit turnover and profit utilisation of all the 4,500 canteens.

The employees, who went on strike last week, also demanding that the CSD canteens, having consolidated turnover of Rs.10,000 crore per year should be recognised as the retail outlets integral to CSD, according to a statement by All-India Defence Civilian Canteen Employees Union.

They are demanding that the CAG should be allowed to audit turnover and profit utilisation of all the 4,500 CSD canteens (retail) for the past 10 years.
