Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh on Saturday said he would keep tabs on his party's government in Uttar Pradesh and any minister found indulging in corruption would be sacked immediately.

“We will keep a control on the government. I myself will keep a close watch on its working and if any minister is caught involved in corruption he would be sacked immediately,” he said addressing party workers.

The SP chief said he wants implementation of the party manifesto and would talk to the ministers in this regard irrespective of their stature.

He said a system would be evolved where people's work is done easily and they do not have to run to Lucknow.

Congratulating workers over a majority government, he said though the BSP government committed atrocities, not a single Samajwadi worker buckled under pressure.

He said there were a number of serious challenges along with responsibilities. “We have to implement our manifesto. Hooliganism will not be tolerated and justice will be ensured to all,” he added. - PTI
