The Institute of Engineers (India) will organise a three-day “National Safety Convention 2011” here from November 29. It will be attended by about 300 leading town planners, safety engineers, disaster management experts, manufacturers and suppliers of safety equipment.

“The convention will focus on advising governments and private bodies on steps necessary to ensure safety in the urban development, road and rail transport and industrial sector. The main theme of the convention is safety in transportation,” said Institute of Engineers (India) Delhi Chapter chairman R.N. Rajput.
