The National Consumer Helpline (NCH) received maximum complaints from the Capital out of 12,088 calls received by the agency this past month.

Among sectors, maximum complaints were related to the telecom sector.

“The National Consumer Helpline (NCH) received 12,088 calls during February 2013. In addition to these telephonic calls/complaints, 2,034 complaints were also received through online complaint system on NCH website,” Consumer Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The maximum calls were received from Delhi followed by Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat and Punjab, it added.

“The telecom sector recorded maximum complaints i.e. 19 per cent. It was followed by telecom product, e-commerce, electricity and broadcaster,” the statement said.

According to the data, NCH got maximum 2,705 calls from Delhi comprising 22.38 per cent of total calls. - PTI
