Keeping with the commitment to making consumer redress offices more purposeful and efficient, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated a renovated Dispute Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum on Tuesday.
The forum is competent to provide customers relief from any malpractice by suppliers and sellers and award compensation. “The Forum provides justice at the earliest without any cost. It is an important step towards safeguarding consumers’ interests,” said Ms. Dikshit.
The Delhi Government’s Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs is also concentrating on renovating its circle office. It has already renovated 33 out of its 70 circle offices, said Ms. Dikshit.
