Social activist Nutan Thakur has filed a complaint with the National Commission for Women, taking strong exception to alleged improper comments made by Samajwadi Party leader Narinder Bhati against the suspended IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal.

In her complaint, Ms. Thakur raised objections over the alleged usage of words like ‘ aurat ’ and ‘ behudgi ’ which were allegedly used by the politician against the IAS officer and were caught in a video footage. In her complaint, Ms. Thakur said: “I watched the video on Youtube where a lot of time beep was used. Moreover, usage of words like ‘aurat’ and ‘ behudgi’ are abjectly improper and I have written a letter to NCW to take cognisance of this matter.’’

“In my appeal I have also requested that an enquiry may be initiated in the matter,’’ she added.
