Students aspiring to study English and Journalism at Delhi University can start preparing themselves for the common entrance examinations to be held for the respective subjects. The Common Aptitude Test for English is scheduled for June 5 while the Combined Journalism Entrance Test will be held on June 19.
Twenty-one Delhi University colleges will accept the results of the Common Aptitude Test for English for admission to the B.A. (Honours) course. Some of these colleges include Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Deshbandhu College, Hindu College, Indraprastha College for Women, Kamala Nehru College, Kirori Mal College, Lady Shri Ram College and Maharaja Agrasen College.
The exam will take place on June 5 from 2 p.m. to 3-30 p.m. The application form along with the information bulletin will be available at 21 designated colleges till May 26.
Results on June 13
The CATE score will be declared on the university website on June 13 and the first cut-off will be announced on June 15.
Meanwhile, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Kamala Nehru College, Maharaja Agrasen College, Kalindi College and Lady Shri Ram College will be admitting students to the B.A. (Honours) Journalism course on the basis of the Combined Journalist Entrance Test to be held on June 19 from 9-30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The last date for submission of application forms is June 5.

The entrance test will consist of objective multiple choice questions on general awareness and current affairs while the subjective section will comprise language and writing skills, book/film review, critical analysis of contemporary media and essay on contemporary issues. Based on their performance in the test and performance in Class XII examination, selected students will go through an interview round. The results of the written test will be declared on June 29 and the final result on July 11.
