Foundation stone of community centre laid

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit laid the foundation stone of a community centre in Trilokpuri on Sunday. The centre will be constructed over an area of 2,140 sq. metre with an estimated cost of Rs.3.75 crore, she said. The land has been provided by the DUSIB and the funds have been released by the Trans Yamuna Development Board.

Ms. Dikshit also said that her government has been continuously working for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable sections of society. She added that people in 45 resettlement colonies will be conferred freehold ownership rights in a function at East Delhi on Tuesday. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will hand over the papers to the residents of resettlement colonies including Sultanpuri and other resettlement colonies situated in East Delhi. – Staff Reporter
