The Delhi Police told a Sessions court here on Friday that they would file a supplementary charge sheet against prime accused and former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda’s aide Chanshivroop Singh in the Geetika Sharma suicide case in a week.

Chanshivroop had expressed his wish to turn approver, was granted bail, and almost won a conditional pardon from the court, only to abscond, after which the pardon was cancelled.

Prosecutor Rajiv Mohan was stopped from beginning arguments on charge when defence counsel pointed out that the police were yet to file the supplementary charge sheet in the case and submit the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report in the case.

District & Additional Sessions Judge S. K. Sarvaria intends to begin hearing arguments on January 24. The police have been told to file the charge sheet in a week and also the CFSL report before it.
