The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a criminal case against chairperson of Ajmer Institute of Technology and unknown officers of the All Indian Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for fraudulently getting approval for a new engineering college on the institute’s premises on Pushkar by-pass, Ajmer. According to the CBI, chairperson of the Ajmer Institute of Technology conspired with unknown officers of AICTE by dishonestly submitting forged and self-created documents on the basis of which it got the approval for a new engineering college named Ajmer Institute of Technology, Pushkar By-pass, Ajmer

Premises searched

The CBI Wednesday searched the office and residential premises of the chairperson of the institute as well as the permanent residence of chairperson at Bijnore (UP).

Documents seized

Several incriminating documents pertaining to the allegations of the case have been seized and the same are under scrutiny, the CBI said.
