NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against a former Director-General (Investigation) of the Income Tax Department, Pune, and carried out raids at various places in Pune and Mumbai. A 1971 batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service, S. K. Sharma, was accused of obtaining bribe from two directors of private companies based in Pune and Mumbai through an Income Tax Officer, Gopal Sharma, based in Mumbai.
