NEW DELHI: A 37-year-old air-conditioner mechanic working with the Canadian High Commission here was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in Paschim Vihar on Monday. His motorcycle was found some distance from the spot. Shivnath Prasad, a resident of Mangolpuri, left home around 8 p.m. on Sunday for night duty but did not reach office. Around 11 p.m., his wife received a call from the office inquiring about him. Suspecting that something had gone wrong, Shivnath’s relatives and friends started searching for him, but could not trace him. They then lodged a report at the local police station. A family member looking for Shivnath in the Paschim Vihar area saw some policemen and onlookers around a body. It was identified as that of Shivnath. He had been stabbed in the chest with some sharp weapon. Subsequently a murder case was registered at the Mangolpuri police station.
