A 20-year-old son of a businessman has been arrested by the North-West Delhi Police in connection with two cases of auto-theft.

Satish Chandra, a car dealer in Ashok Vihar Phase-II, lodged a complaint with the police on Saturday saying that a young man and his teenaged friend had driven off in his Honda Civic car after a test drive.

The complainant told the police that the duo came to him around 4-30 p.m. and went on a test drive with him. When the dealer got off the car outside his showroom after the test drive, the two drove away in the vehicle.

Taking up the investigation, the police arrested Ujjawal Sharma near Netaji Subhash Place Metro Station.

During interrogation, Ujjawal purportedly told the police that he was fond of cars and bikes and had earlier stolen a motorcycle at Shalimar Bagh. Son of a businessman, Ujjawal, a resident of Rohini, had dropped out after he failed in matriculation.
