Govt. college employee caught taking bribe

The Lokayukta Police on Thursday caught an employee of a Government Polytechnic College in neighbouring Khargone district while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1,500 from a welding trainer in lieu of releasing his remaining payment.

The employee, Kailash Chandra Usre, had demanded Rs. 6,000 from the complainant, Mukesh Ahirwar, for releasing his June payment. Ahirwar agreed and, at the same time, lodged a complaint with Lokayukta. Lokayukta sleuths laid a trap and caught Usre when he was accepting the money . —PTI
