A day after Delhi poll in-charge Nitin Gadkari made it clear that only those candidates who will be in a position to win elections will be offered tickets, the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday announced that it will come out with a comprehensive list of candidates after its September 29 rally.

“As all the party functionaries are working overtime to make September 29 rally a historic success and it is currently the main focus of all party activities, so we will come out with our list of candidates for the coming Assembly polls after September 29,” said Delhi unit chief Vijay Goel. The election rally will be addressed by BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and the party is hopeful of attracting a large number of people.

Mr. Goel said he was confident that once candidates were announced, all party cadres and functionaries will work together for ensuring a victory in the upcoming Delhi elections.

Meanwhile, the party is gearing up for the “massive” rally next week with former Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta, who is the convenor of the rally organising committee, reviewing security aspects and traffic arrangements for the rally to be held in Rohini. “Preparations for the rally are in full swing with the BJP cadres mobilising people for the rally at the grassroots level. The Delhi BJP will depute adequate number of volunteers to manage and help the crowd of supporters, who are expected to throng the venue in large numbers,” said the former Delhi BJP president.
