NEW DELHI: The Builders' Association of India (BAI) has criticised the Union Government for what it called its inadequate response to the issue of price rise in cement.

"Cement prices were stable at around Rs. 125 to Rs. 145 per bag between 2003 and 2005. The prices have zoomed up meteorically to Rs. 210 to Rs. 225 per bag ,'' said BAI president C. Raghava Reddy in a statement here on Saturday.
