A notice issued by the court seeking the response of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to the request by Enforcement Directorate to question him in jail on charges of money laundering was served on him through Chanchalguda jail authorities on Wednesday.
The counsel for Jagan refused to take the notice due to certain objections, upon which the ED officials approached jail authorities in a bid to pass on the papers to him. The ED had on Friday last sought the permission of the CBI court to question Jagan as part of its inquiry into allegations of violation of Prevention of Money Laundering Act by all those behind bars in high profile cases being handled by CBI.
The ED had already served notices on all others who were facing court proceedings.
