NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested and two minors detained in connection with the murder of a young man in New Friends Colony here on Wednesday.

According to the police, Siraj Ahmed was going to Zakir Nagar along with his wife in a rickshaw around noon when some young men playing Holi near Lions Hospital threw colour on her.

When he objected to it, an altercation broke out between them. Soon his brother-in-law Sajid and employee Rahissudin reached the spot on a motorcycle. They were trying to mollify the young men when one of them, later identified as Krishan Kumar, allegedly attacked Rahissudin with a knife.

Siraj took Rahissudin to Lions Hospital first and then to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was declared brought dead.

A murder case was registered at the New Friends Colony police station. Police raided possible hideouts of the accused and nabbed Ravi.

Prime accused Krishan was later arrested at his instance. Krishan purportedly told the police that two minors were also involved in the murder. The police detained the two minors and produced them in a juvenile court.
