Fellowship for Dr. Caroli

NEW DELHI: Dr. R. K. Caroli, eminent cardiologist, has been awarded the Fellowship of the Cardiology Society of India at its Convocation held here on Thursday.

Dr. Caroli, former head of the Department of Cardiology at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in the Capital, has over the years published 42 research papers in national and international journals on cardiology.

Personal physician to four Presidents of India and cardiologist to former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri, Dr. Caroli was conferred Padma Shri in 1969 and Padma Bhushan in 1974.
