NEW DELHI: Thirty-eight positive cases of swine flu were reported in the Capital on Monday.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman who was brought to Lohia Hospital last week in a serious condition continues to be critical. “The woman had joint pain, fever and breathlessness and had been unwell for over a week. She had gone to a private hospital in Faridabad and was brought here on a ventilator. She has tested positive for swine flu and we are trying to stabilise her. Her condition is very critical,” said Lohia Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. N.K. Chaturvedi.
He said another patient who was brought to Delhi from Karnal was also in a critical condition.
“In both cases the patients came to us in a very critical condition and had delayed seeking medical attention despite having symptoms for over three to four days.”
