NEW DELHI: Following an extensive campaign by the teachers, students and non-teaching staff of DU’s Dyal Singh College – both morning and evening – against the proposed move by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to acquire part of the college land, the latter has agreed to meet a delegation from the institution on Wednesday. According to the convenor of the Joint Action Committee of the college, Sachin N., some representatives would meet the DMRC officials, “who have finally acknowledged the college’s resistance to their proposal”.

“With pressure mounting on them, the DMRC has now come round to recognise the protest movement in the college against their plans to acquire college land. Our delegation will meet the officials in Tughlaq Road office.”
