NEW DELHI: All-India Management Association celebrated its 14th Convocation Ceremony in the Capital over the weekend where 1,474 students received post-graduation diplomas in manage- ment, technology and management and certificate in management, besides professional diplomas in various fields of management.

Addressing the Convocation as the chief guest, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister T.K.A. Nair express-ed concern over the environmental and climatic change. “Sheer ignorance has led to the current environmental imbalance. Effective management has become critical to running successful governments, corporates and even social welfare programmes. It has become more important today as our society and its problems are becoming more complex. Therefore, the need for management education has increased manifold.”

Stating that the concerns of society cannot be ignored, Mr. Nair said managers should harmonise environmental concerns for developmental process and its business delivery in their future career in the industry.

Twelve Ph.Ds from the Aligarh Muslim University were also honoured. Four AIMA fellowships were conferred on industry stalwarts for their active contribution to the industry and society.
