NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra on Saturday said party politics should not come in the way of development projects meant for providing civic amenities and infrastructure.

Laying the foundation stone of the 100-bed Balak Ram Hospital at Timarpur here, Ms. Mehra said the municipal body was sensitive towards the grievances and needs of citizens and was engaged in improving basic civic amenities. “Our aim is to keep Delhi clean and healthy,” she added.

Project

Municipal Corporation of Delhi Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta said the targeted time for completion of the project needed to be reduced from 24 months to 18 so that poor and lower middle class people living nearby could avail themselves of the medical facilities at the earliest.
