NEW DELHI: Three Jammu and Kashmir residents have been arrested here by the Central Bureau of Investigation on charges of dealing in shahtoosh shawls. The agency claims to have seized 57 shawls worth lakhs of rupees from them.

Acting on a tip-off that some persons involved in smuggling of shahtoosh shawls were staying in a New Delhi five-star hotel, the CBI sleuths mounted a raid and arrested them on Tuesday. During interrogation, they purportedly disclosed that they had brought the shawls from Jammu and Kashmir and were searching for customers.
