Help desks at DU campus
NEW DELHI: To assist those seeking admission to Delhi University, the All-India Students' Association is setting up "help desks" at several places on the campus on Friday.
The "help desks" will be active till June 15 informing students about admission forms, courses and responding to queries, said an AISA release.
AISA has also installed a help line -- 9911668263 -- for the newcomers. Students can also get admission-related information by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
NEW DELHI: London Metropolitan University along with Mahatma Gandhi Foundation at Gandhi Smriti in Delhi has announced a post-graduate scholarship in honour of Mahatma Gandhi.
The scholarship, to be awarded every year to the most outstanding Indian post-graduate student coming to LMU, will be open to students pursuing any subject at LMU.
Workshop on geo-hazards
NEW DELHI: Delhi University's Kirori Mal College along with the District Administration of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh is organising a two-day national workshop on "Environmental Geo-Hazards (Earthquakes, Landslides, Floods) -- Management and Mitigate Strategy for Himachal Pradesh" at Mandi beginning June 4.
According to Dr. Kaushal Kumar Sharma, Reader, K.M College, the themes to be discussed include geo-hazards in Himachal Pradesh, landslides, earthquakes, floods and cloudburst. Nearly 60 scientists from various parts of the country are expected to take part.
