NEW DELHI: A politician while reversing his vehicle allegedly hit a lawyer’s car parked near the Central Administrative Tribunal on Copernicus Marg here leading to a war of words on Tuesday. No case has been registered so far. When the politician did not stop after the incident, the Mercedes driver jumped on to the vehicle’s bonnet.

It is alleged that the politician kept driving the vehicle even as the driver clung on to the bonnet. The vehicle was eventually intercepted by some policemen on Ferozeshah Road, said the lawyer, adding that his driver has lodged a complaint with the Tilak Marg police.

“The other party, who is a politician, told us that he drove off fearing that he and his wife would be attacked. We are looking into the statements of both the parties and the matter is being supervised by the area ACP,” said a police officer.
