NEW DELHI: A 55-year-old businessman was shot at and injured by some men in Outer Delhi on Monday. The police suspect involvement of someone known to the victim.

According to the police, the incident took place near the Delhi-Haryana border around 5-30 p.m. when Inder Mohan Chopra, who runs a brick kiln unit, was returning to his Pitampura residence. Preliminary investigations revealed that Mr. Chopra was getting into his car when the assailants, who were in another car, fired at him and sped away. Mr. Chopra sustained bullet injuries in the leg and was taken to Jaipur Golden Hospital where he is now stated to be out of danger.
