Gaya: Four hardcore members of the Ranvir Sena, an underground militia of upper caste land-owners, were arrested in Bihar’s Gaya district on Friday, the police said.

On a tip-off, the police raided a hideout of the banned organisation at Tutuki village under Konch police station and arrested Mukesh Sharma, Ramanand Sharma, Damodar Sharma and Atal sharma.

Two pistols and several rounds of ammunition were recovered from their possession.

Reward

The police had announced a reward of Rs.25,000 for those providing information leading to the arrest of Mukesh Sharma.

The Sena has been involved in a bloody feud with CPI-ML (liberation) and various Naxalite outfits in south Bihar districts leading to numerous deaths on both sides.- PTI
