NEW DELHI: The three Safdarjung Hospital doctors who had been directed by a court here to testify and explain the exact reason for the mysterious death of caddie Vicky in police custody on March 13 failed to give any “definite” reason for his death on Friday. Appearing before Metropolitan Magistrate Kuldeep Narayan the doctors – Ajay Kumar, Arvind Theogaonkar and Alexander Khakha – told the court that the post-mortem findings were not enough to explain the exact cause of death.

They also told the court that the victim’s pancreas, which had some blood spots, had been preserved and its examination may bring out the definite cause.

Following the conclusion of the doctors’ testimonies, the court deferred the matter for April 28 when it would decide whether any other expert needed to examine the records.
