NEW DELHI: A tailor has been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi police for allegedly receiving and circulating counterfeit Indian currency in the Capital. Fake currency notes with a face value of Rs.99,500 have allegedly been seized from him.

The Special Cell had recently received information that a gang allegedly involved in procurement and circulation of fake currency had been operating in Delhi and Punjab. The currency was obtained from Nepal and Bangladesh and allegedly circulated in India.
