NEW DELHI: It was yet another day of power cuts for the Capital’s citizens as the frequency in the Northern Grid kept dipping below the mandatory levels on Monday.

Under-frequency was reported 31 times and 110 MW of load-shedding had to be carried out to prevent a grid collapse.

The Delhi Government’s Power Department officials said that though the Capital was drawing its allotted share, other States continued to flout the grid code and overdrew.

As a result of this, several parts of the city had to face outages raging between a few minutes to several hours.

While Delhi’s generation stood at 1,249 MW, the maximum load recorded was 3,229 MW at 3-15 p.m.
