An alleged pimp, Sonu Punjaban, has been arrested by the South Delhi Police along with eight persons for allegedly running a sex racket in the Capital.

The Mehrauli Police received a tip-off on Friday that Sonu Punjaban was present at her Said-ul-Ajab residence along with a couple of sex workers and one of her accomplices Raju Sharma was soliciting potential customers on Mehrauli-Badarpur Road. Acting on it, a team led by Station House Officer (Mehrauli) Inspector Pankaj Singh laid a trap and sent Sub-Inspector Kailash Chand as a decoy customer to strike deal with them. He was accompanied by Sub-Inspector Narpat Singh. After the deal was struck, the two police officers signalled to the raiding team and Sonu Punjaban was arrested at a flat in Anupam Enclave along with four sex workers and four pimps.
