NEW DELHI: In view of the Rath Yatra procession of Lord Jagannath and Badrinath on Friday, the traffic police have made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular flow in Central Delhi and North Delhi.
Starting from Jagannath Badrinath Temple in Darya Ganj, the procession will pass through Subhas Marg, Gauri Shanker Temple, Esplanade Road, Dariba Kalan, Chandni Chowk, Nai Sarak Barashaboola, Chawri Bazar, Hauz Qazi, Ajmeri Gate, Shradhanand Marg, Lahori Gate, Khari Baoli, Masjid Fatehpuri, Chandni Chowk, Gauri Shanker Temple and conclude at the temple.
The procession will affect vehicular flow on roads in Central and North Delhi from 2 p.m. to midnight. Traffic will be diverted in consonance with the position of the procession at Darya Ganj, Subhas Marg and Asaf Ali Road, Chandni Chowk, Ajmeri Gate and Desh Bandhu Gupta Road.
The traffic police have advised commuters to avoid the route of the procession and use Delhi Metro rail instead.
