NEW DELHI: The relay hunger strike by doctors belonging to the reserved category who are protesting against alleged discrimination during appointment of senior residents at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here entered its third day on Friday.

Demanding that the Institute Director meet the doctors from the reserved category and that all candidates who have cleared the written tests be given their posts as per their marks, Kapil Yadav of AIIMS said: “We feel violated by the discriminatory policies of the AIIMS Director. We are determined to carry on with our hunger strike and even intensify it to take our struggle to its logical end.”
