Two complaints based on contesting claims made by the Aam Admi Party and news portal Mediasarkar were lodged at the Indirapuram Police Station in Ghaziabad on Sunday.
Media Sarkar CEO Anuranjan Jha gave a written complaint against AAP members on Sunday alleging that they were making threatening calls to the employees of the news portal.
The portal had conducted a sting operation on senior AAP leaders, including Shazia Ilmi and Kumar Vishwas, alleging that they were involved in “raising funds trough illegal means”
“Mr. Jha has said he has been receiving threats from AAP activists for the past two-three days. The complaint also states that he received threats in the form of messages,” said a senior police officer,
Meanwhile, Mr. Vishwas also registered a complaint against Mr. Jha at the same police station. According to the complaint, Mr. Jha is accused of hatching a criminal conspiracy against him.
“We have received complaints from both sides and are now investigating the allegations. Any kind of action will be taken only after going through the complaints,” the police officer added.
