Teachers at Delhi University have not taken too kindly to the “surprise raids” and the resultant public humiliation heaped upon principals by Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Singh in the past two days.

“V-C’s visits to colleges are not part of corrective measures, but a systematic attempt to malign the teaching community. He desperately wants to shift the blame of the failure of FYUP and foundation courses on the teachers. We hear that in these visits students have very frankly told him that FYUP is not working. I want to know what he will do about that feedback,” said Abha Dev Habib, who teaches Physics at Miranda House.
