A workshop on the United Nations Security Council will be organised by the youth wing of Kerala International Centre in the city on May 6.

Eminent personalities such as Shashi Tharoor, MP, and the former Ambassadors of India to the United Nations T.P. Sreenivasan and K.P.S. Menon will share their experiences and talk on various aspects of the UN Security Council.

Arjun Krishna Lal, the chairman of the youth wing, said the workshop would be a platform for students to know more about India's foreign policy and international issues through various sessions.

“We are also planning to invite experts who will speak on the activities and procedure of conducting the Security Council meeting. Debates and training sessions on public speaking will be held during the workshop,” said Mr. Lal.

The youth wing planned to organise special classes and awareness campaigns on Civil Services in higher secondary schools.
