Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya, Velloor, conducted a week-long programme recently as exhorted by the National Foundation for Communal Harmony under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Cultural programmes including rendition of songs, dance, reading of sacred scriptures, quiz competition and a cycle rally were organised for sensitising students to the need for fostering communal harmony, national integration and fraternity.

Smart classes opened

Interactive digital smart classes were opened at Crescent Public School, Chalakudy, for effective teaching and learning experience.

Simon Varghese, recipient of “Pazhassi Raja Pravasi Ratna” award inaugurated the classes on January 2. Music director Mejo Joseph inaugurated the children’s day celebrations on the same day. Principal Joseph Chirayath welcomed the gathering and Neena Joe, KG coordinator, proposed a vote of thanks.
