PATHANAMTHITTA: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate the three-day annual State meet of the Yogakshema Sabha at Muthoor, near Thiruvalla, on Friday.

In a statement here on Wednesday, Yogakshema Sabha State president Akkeeramon Kalidasa Bhattathirippad said the three-day meet would be held at two venues — Sreevallabhapuri (NSS High School grounds) and Sree Sankara Nagar (Sree Bhadra auditorium) at Muthoor.

He said the torch lit from Mallikarjuna Temple at Kasaragod by Radhakrishna Adiga, the portrait of Adi Sankaracharya brought from Kalady and the organisational flag handed over by Uthradom Tirunal Marthanda Varma of Kowdiar Palace at a function held at Kanyakumari will be brought to Thiruvalla on Thursday afternoon.

The torch, the portrait and the flag will be brought to the meeting venue in a ceremonial procession from Thiruvalla Brahmaswom Madhom on Friday.
