The Kerala Gazetted Officers Union (KGOU) staged a dharna in front of the District Collectorate here on Thursday pressing for various demands, including raising of pension age to 60. The other demands include restoration of pay parity between Secretariat and non-secretariat staff, formation of a State civil service, parity of wages with the Central government staff, and full pension to those with 20 years service. V.V. Prakash, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee secretary, inaugurated the dharna. V.M. Suresh Kumar, KGOU district president, presided. K.P. Sadikali, KGOU district secretary, welcomed the gathering.
