Two of six children who had run away from the Observation Home in Kakkanad on Wednesday have been caught and brought back under the care of the Home.

They were picked up by the Thrikkakara police from their hideout in Edappally on Monday. The two were in the city for the last two days, roaming in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. They had also contacted their relatives.

The six boys had, on Wednesday, beaten up the caretaker of the Home and fled to Tamil Nadu. With Rs. 21,000, they had roamed around in Nagercoil and Kanyakumari. The two Malayalis from the group then split from the others and returned to Kochi with hardly any cash with them.
