Kozhikode: A tribal study camp of the Social Work Department of Thanthai Hans Roever College in Peramballur in Trichy is being held at Chekady in Pulpally panchayat in Wayanad.

The camp which began on October 1 and will end on Friday is to study the lifestyle of tribal people and understand their culture. The programme was inaugurated by P. Krishnaprasad, MLA.

A rally to highlight the significance of ensuring freedom of the press organised by the students in Pulpally town was inaugurated by P.N. Sivan, vice-president, Pulpally panchayat, Prof. Paul Panjikaran, camp co-ordinator, said on Thursday.
