THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Railways have cancelled several long distance Express trains arriving and departing from Thiruvananthapuram Central, Ernakulam, Nagercoil and Kanyakumari due to heavy rain and water logging in Karagpur division of South Eastern Railway.

The 6323 Thiruvananthapuram-Shalimar Express scheduled to depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central on July 5 and 10 and the 2507 Ernakulam-Guwahati Express from Ernakulam on July 8 have been cancelled, a railway release here said.

The 2659 Nagercoil-Shalimar Gurudev Express from Nagercoil on July 6, the 2666 Kanyakumari Howrah Express from Kanyakumari on July 5, the 2515 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Guwahati Express from Thiruvananthapuram central on July 6 have been cancelled.

The 6324 Shalimar-Thiruvananthapuram Central Express scheduled to arrive at Thiruvananthapuram Central on July 8 and 10, the 2665 Howrah-Kanyakumari Expess that was to reach Kanyakumari on July 9 stand cancelled. Other trains cancelled include 2516 Guwahati-Thiruvananthapuram Central Express arriving at Thiruvananthapuram Central on July 4 and 11 and the 2508 Guwahati-Ernakulam Express that is to reach Ernakulam Junction on July 6 and 13. The 3351/3352 Dhanbad-Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express has been cancelled on both directions.
