Goli kali (Ariyas), Pakida, Podikali, Attiyeru, Neelambaara, Choondayidal, Naadan panthu kali are some of the games that are part of the sports meet.
The competitions will begin at 9 a.m. at Chinnathambi Annavi square near Kadalvathuruth Holy Cross Church. The competitions for children will be held in the morning, whereas those for adults will begin in the evening and go on into the night.
Organisers said the traditional games did not have a written set of rules, but accepted norms would be used to determine the winners of the contests.
