Special funds will be sanctioned for developing a tourist circuit linking Aruvikkara, Peppara and Kallar in the district, Speaker of Kerala Assembly G. Karthikeyan has said.

The Speaker was speaking after laying the foundation stone for a wayside camping centre near the Kallar bridge en route to the Ponmudi hill station in the district on Wednesday.

The Rs.1.18-crore project is taken up by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC).

The Nirmithi Kendra will be entrusted with the civil works, which will be completed in six months.
