Tobacco products were seized from various parts of the district during a joint raid conducted by the district administration and health, police, excise, education and revenue departments. The raid was conducted on business establishments located within 100 metres from educational institutions. Cases were taken against seven shops under the Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of advertisement and regulation of Trade and Commerce, production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003. — Staff Reporter
