P. Govinda Pillai receives award which carries a purse of Rs.1,00,000, citation
KOTTAYAM: The T.K. Ramakrishnan Memorial Award was presented to veteran Marxist P. Govinda Pillai on Friday.
Presenting the award, CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said PG's (as he is popularly known) contribution to the Marxist literature was considerable. While his physical weakness has trimmed down his travels, PG has made use of the situation for furthering his creative pursuits, he said.
“PG had always been an angry intellectual, but I think he is less angry towards issues now. I would like him to express his anger more often,” Mr Vijayan said.
