Congress workers known for loyalty to the ‘I ’ group expressed dissatisfaction with Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan , particularly his handling of the T.P. Chandrasekharan murder case, at a meeting called on Wednesday to discuss formation of party committees at lower levels.

Later P. Sankaran, former Minister, said the general mood of the participants in the meeting was one of deep dissatisfaction with Mr. Radhakrishnan.

Some among the party leaders claimed the mood of the participants reflected the sentiments of the Congress workers in the district.

Many speakers at the meeting were of the view that the accused in the case would get away lightly going by the way the case was being managed.

What had sparked discontent was acquittal by the court of 20 of the accused and failure of jail authorities to prevent violation of prison rules because of which some of the accused had been able to post their photographs on Facebook.

Besides former Minister Sankaran, KPCC general secretaries K. P. Anil Kumar, N. Subramanian and Praveen Kumar and KPCC working committee member P.M. Niyaz were among those present.
