The State-wide drama tour of the Thiruvananthapuram-based Abhinaya Theatre Research Centre is coming to town.

Beginning Saturday, a three-day theatre festival showcasing Eugene Ionesco's ‘Lesson' (on May 21); a post-modern enactment of the centuries-old ‘Bhagavadajjukam' (May 22) and an adaptation of Shakespeare's ‘Macbeth' (May 23) will be held at Jtpac, Tripunithura, from 7 p.m. The travel theatre festival seeks to reinvent the distinctive aesthetic elements of theatre that cannot be delivered by television soaps and films.
