The police on Thursday arrested Abdul Halim, 35, a close associate of Thadiyantavide Nazir, who is now in jail in connection with several terror-related cases, on the charge of securing SIM card by producing fake documents to prove identity. He is one of the accused in the Kozhikode blast case, Ernakulam Collectorate blast case, a jewellery theft case at Kizhakkambalam, and the case now being investigated by the National Investigating Agency, relating to recruitment of youths for terror outfits. He was arrested by the Kannur City police on Thursday.
